1. Summary
We collect the minimum data we need to run the site and the fake-review analyzer. We don't sell your data. We don't show display ads. We use cookies for login sessions and basic analytics, not for tracking you across the web. You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing legal@primereviewspro.com.
This policy applies to primereviewspro.com, operated by Prime Reviews Pro ("we", "us"). By using the site you consent to the practices described here.
2. What we collect
Information you give us directly
- Email address — when you create an account, subscribe to the newsletter, or sign up for the fake-review analyzer.
- Password — stored as a salted hash; we never see or store your plaintext password.
- Name — if you provide one when contacting us or subscribing.
- Analyzer input — the Amazon product URLs or review text you paste into the analyzer. See section 3 for how we use it.
- Payment info — handled entirely by PayPal. We never see, store, or touch your card number, PayPal password, or bank details. We do receive a payer email and transaction ID from PayPal to associate the payment with your subscription.
- Messages — anything you send us through our contact addresses or forms.
Information collected automatically
- IP address — logged for security, rate limiting, and basic analytics. Hashed with SHA-256 before being stored long-term.
- Browser user-agent string — which browser and device you use.
- Pages visited, referring URL, timestamps — for aggregate analytics about what content is useful.
- Click tracking on outbound affiliate links — we log which product links get clicked so we can tell which reviews help readers and which don't. Logged data: target URL, post slug, referring URL, UA, hashed IP. We do not share this with Amazon.
3. Why we collect it
- Run the service. We need your email to send you login links, subscription confirmations, and analyzer results. We need your payment metadata to grant and track premium access.
- Fake-review analysis. Analyzer input (URLs or pasted reviews) is processed by our detection engine and third-party AI providers (see section 4). Results are stored against your account so you can see your history. Pasted review text itself is not retained beyond the cache window necessary to return your results.
- Improve the site. Aggregate analytics help us understand which guides help readers and which fall flat. We never personalise content based on individual profiles.
- Prevent abuse. Hashed IPs, rate limits, and session logs help us block bots, brute-force attempts, and scraping.
- Legal obligations. We keep transaction records long enough to meet tax and accounting requirements.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the specific third parties we need to run the service:
- PayPal — for subscription and one-time payment processing. Subject to PayPal's privacy policy.
- Our email provider (SMTP relay / transactional email service) — to deliver login links, receipts, and newsletters.
- AI model providers — when you run an analysis, the review text you submit is sent to one or more AI classifier APIs (currently Anthropic, Groq, Cerebras, or similar) purely to generate the analysis result. These providers operate under their own privacy policies and we only send the text needed for the classification task. No email or account identifier is included in the request payload.
- Amazon — only via ordinary referer headers if you click an affiliate link. We do not proactively send Amazon any of your data.
- Law enforcement — if legally compelled by a valid U.S. court order, subpoena, or equivalent legal process. We will push back on overly broad requests where we can.
We do not share data with ad networks. We do not serve display advertising on this site.
5. Cookies & tracking
We use a small number of cookies, all strictly functional:
- Session cookie — keeps you logged into your account. Deleted when you log out or the session expires.
- Consent / dismissal cookies — remember whether you've dismissed the newsletter bar or closed a popup so we don't show it again.
We do not use third-party advertising cookies, cross-site trackers, or fingerprinting libraries. We do load Google Fonts for typography, which may be subject to Google's privacy practices; if that matters to you, consider using a browser extension that serves system fonts locally.
6. How long we keep it
- Account data — kept while your account is active. Deleted within 30 days of an account deletion request.
- Payment records — kept 7 years for tax and accounting compliance.
- Analyzer results — kept 90 days so you can see history; older rows auto-purged nightly.
- Review cache — analyzed review text is cached for up to 24 hours to avoid re-hitting Amazon for duplicate requests, then deleted.
- Session tokens — expire after 30 days of inactivity; expired rows auto-purged nightly.
- Hashed IP logs — kept 60 days for abuse investigation, then deleted.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct — ask us to fix anything that's wrong.
- Delete — ask us to erase your account and associated data (subject to legal retention obligations).
- Port — request your data in a machine-readable format.
- Object — opt out of specific uses such as marketing emails.
- Not be sold — California residents under CCPA have the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information, so this right is automatically honoured.
To exercise any of these, email legal@primereviewspro.com from the address on your account. We'll respond within 30 days (GDPR) or 45 days (CCPA), whichever applies.
8. How we protect it
All site traffic is served over HTTPS. Passwords are stored as salted hashes using modern algorithms. Session tokens are 256-bit random values stored HttpOnly and Secure. Payment processing is delegated entirely to PayPal — we never handle card data ourselves. We review access logs and apply security patches regularly. That said, no system is 100% secure; if we ever detect a breach affecting your data, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
9. Children's privacy
This site is not intended for children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us, email legal@primereviewspro.com and we will delete it promptly.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle data, we'll update this page and change the "Last updated" date at the bottom. Material changes will also be announced to active subscribers by email. Continued use of the site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
