Fair Price Shield

Blocks the trackers that build your price, then hands them a shopper profile that gets quoted the low one.

Mode

Default profile

Traffic from deal and comparison sites is modelled as price-sensitive, so the discount-bearing variant of a page is more likely to be served. The referrer is never sent on login, cart, checkout or payment pages.

Signals

Price probes

Each probe is one ordinary, signed-out GET of the same public product page. Nothing is submitted, no session is reused, and probes run a few hundred milliseconds apart so they do not land as a burst.

Never touch these sites

Banking, government, work logins — anywhere an unusual device profile would cost you more than a price difference is worth. One domain per line.

Privacy

At install the extension makes up a random ID on this computer. It sends that ID once when installed and at most once a day after that, with the extension version and browser family, so we can count how many installs are still in use. Nothing else goes with it: no name, email, pages or prices. We do not store your IP address, and the ID is not tied to your device or browser fingerprint. Untick to stop it.

Separately, on the supported travel and store sites the extension shares the price it read (the store, the item and the price, with no ID attached) so other shoppers can see what the item costs in other countries.
